A mole can give us more trouble than we prefer to deal with. While there are some dangers to having a mole that are associated with skin cancer, moles are generally harmless. Because of this, moles are commonly removed for cosmetic reasons. If we would like to preserve our physical appearance, it is important to look for ways to cure moles that will leave behind minimal scarring in its place.
The three primary ways to cure moles with minimal scarring is freezing, laser removal, and natural remedies. The method you choose really depends on how much you are willing to spend versus the type of mole you have.
Unfortunately, moles with a greater depth may need to be considered for excision (cutting) and/or cauterization (burning). There is certain risk for scarring using these methods, be these may be necessary. Laser removal and freezing are quite effective, but only with moles that do not go too deep within the skin.
Laser removal uses technology to target the cells of the mole known as melanocytes. This procedure "breaks up" the pigmented cells. It is very effective, but often requires multiple treatments, ranging from $150-$400.
Freezing makes use of liquid nitrogen to cure moles. A doctor applies the nitrogen to a cotton swab or sprays it directly on the area. There is a 2-3 week healing process involved afterward, sometimes with the area blistering and scabbing over. It is important to watch it closely and take care of it to avoid the risk of scarring and infection.
Natural remedies employ the use of natural ingredients that can be applied to the skin to cure moles over a period of a few days or more. Some common ingredients include castor oil, garlic, and apple cider vinegar. The good news is that when natural remedies are used properly, there is virtually no risk of scarring or pain.
There are natural remedies that can have miraculous results in having your mole removed in a very short time. All of the methods mentioned above are highly effective as ways to cure moles, however the costs associated with clinical removal as well as the risks of scarring can be quite a burden.
