Fragrance free lotions

Fragrance in skincare products is known to cause irritations. Some of which are mild and in extreme cases these irritations can be severe. The best thing to do is to use "fragrance free" skincare products. From lotions, toners, face masks, makeup to cleansers. All of them should be fragrance free. There are many to choose from so don't be worried about availability.

Soap free cleansers

Soap based cleanser have a tendency of clogging skin-pores. This causes outbreaks. Another disadvantage of soap is that it usually triggers irritations due to its strong nature.

Do not exfoliate regularly

Frequent exfoliation is a good way to remove dead skin cells, however if you have sensitive skin, excessive exfoliation can cause outbreaks due to the friction.

Organic ingredients

Unlike synthetic ingredients, natural skincare ingredients have been known to cause very few irritations if any. This is partly because they are rich in oils that are mild in nature.

Avoid products that contain alcohols like ethanol, methanol and benzyl alcohol as well as mineral oil and parabens.
