Coffee and Cellulite - Could it Really Be That Simple?
By Katy Anderson

I am sure you have heard, like most other women out there, about the phenomena of coffee and cellulite. The word on the street is that if you rub coffee grounds on your problem areas that the cellulite will eventually disappear. The claim for coffee and cellulite as that the caffeine in the coffee grounds will cause your skin to wake up and become more youthful. However, this solution is only a temporary fix. If you are looking for a surefire way to get rid of your cellulite permanently you should really focus on battling the root cause of cellulite.

Cellulite can be attributed to several different components, but the main component is caused by an excess of body fat. The dimples and indentations that are a sign of cellulite are caused when the fat cells bulge out from the connective tissue under the skin causing that dimpled lumpy look. While, grounds of coffee and cellulite creams may seem like a good answer to your cellulite problem, they are actually very ineffective at curing the root problem of your cellulite. They are only temporary fixes, they may make your skin look smoother for a short period of time, but once you stop using the creams and the coffee the cellulite will reappear once again.

The reason that some women may see some results from coffee grounds or caffeine on their cellulite problem areas is because the caffeine can increase the blood flow in your skin for a short period of time. This means that basically the caffeine is irritating the outer layer of your skin causing it to swell and therefore masking the cellulite until the swelling goes down. This could be the answer you are looking for, however, if you want lasting results you will have to continuously apply the caffeine to your cellulite every single day for as long as you want to keep the results.

The real answer to reducing cellulite is targeting the dietary and hormonal problems that attribute to the condition. If you choose to fight the root causes of cellulite it is possible for you to rebuild the collagen tissues in your skin, and tone up and tighten the muscles that reside around your cellulite.

A great way to fight against these root causes of cellulite is by investing in an exercise routine specifically designed to target cellulite, along with a little tweaking of your diet, one or both of these methods will cause you to see a significant change in your cellulite in just a few weeks.
