Studies show that when you are stressed, the adrenalin levels are high and serotonin levels are low in your body that lead to anxiety and discomfort. Listening to soothing music, lower your adrenalin levels and increase your serotonin levels thereby relaxing you. Also while you listen to soft music, you tend to breathe deeper which in turn relaxes your mind and body.
