Many of us are dealing with stress on a daily basis as we work through our busy lifestyles. As we take on responsibilities with our jobs, families, homes, and commitments, sometimes our emotions get bottled up inside. The longer we avoid dealing with our emotions, feelings such as frustration and hostility start to develop. This builds into anger and eventually depression.
Depression can be described simply as anger held inwards.
Our society is always moving forward with new ideas and "solutions" to our problems. The simple solution as described by the medical community is to take medication. As we take medication, the chemicals in our brains are altering which causes our moods to change. This can lead to relief temporarily, but side effects start to cause our bodies to do unnatural things. Gradually, the doctor will increase the amount of milligrams in the medication, and we begin falling into a deeper hole.
...Then we get prescribed an additional medication to take. I know, I've been there.
The medical industry will tell us we have a "chemical imbalance" when we experience depression. This theory labels us with a disease or illness. Our minds believe this label, and the symptoms persist throughout our lives unless we find the root cause of the problem and face it head on.
If you were to break your leg, would you put a band-aid on it? Probably not because that would not solve the root cause of the problem. So let's get to the root cause of our depression and solve it naturally and effectively.
How do we do that? It involves following the 9 principles for Positive Change. Any past hurt, fears, feelings of resentment, etc. are causing us to get "stuck" in our progress of coping with daily stressors. Any life obstacles can be solved by following the 9 Principles for Positive Change listed below:
1. Love yourself - If you can truly love yourself, you can love others as well.
2. Forgive everyone and release the past - We cannot change our past, so we might as well let go of what happened in the past. Forgiveness will lead to happiness.
3. Start Living Consciously - Change your behaviors by consciously being aware of your actions.
4. Be open to and grateful for our natural abundance - You deserve all the success you have. Now start believing it too!
5. Be Honest with yourself and others - Dishonesty is the root of all evil. The truth definitely shall set us free.
6. Start seeing the Positive side of everything! - Stop being so negative and look at the good things in life. It's actually fun!
7. Take control of your life - Depression is loss of control in our lives. Take control and concur your emotions to live free and clear of negative junk.
8. Let go of all fear - We have 2 fears when we come into this world (falling and loud noises). Then we learn all the rest of them. Live happy and free!
9. Start looking after yourself - Become your own best friend!
