6 Tips For Improving the Way You Eat
By Bobby Grecu

Eating healthy is very crucial when it comes to losing weight but learning how to eat is of great importance also. Here are 6 tips that will lay down the foundations of learning how to consume your food in order to increase your chances of losing those extra pounds:

1. Chew slowly. We are all so busy that we can barely find time to eat. And when we do, we devour our meals without realizing the negative impact his has on our health. We should eat our food slowly, not only to savor it and enjoy it but also to allow the digestive process to do its job. Chewing slowly also prevents you from overeating because you allow your body to tell you when it's full.

2. Pay attention to colors. Did you know that if you are eating out of a red plate you tend to eat more and if you are eating out of a dark plate you eat less? Colors have much to do with how much we eat and it is recommended that you use light colors in your kitchen.

3. Relax before dinner. Find a way to give you and your digestive system a break right before dinner. Take a short walk, read a book or listen to your favorite cd. It's never a good idea to eat when you are stressed because this can lead to overeating.

4. Drink water. Have a glass of water before your meals. This will prevent overeating.

5. Don't do the dishes right after you eat. After you had your meal. find a nice and quiet room, relax and allow your body to do its job. If you start doing the dishes right after you eat, there is a chance you will start snacking even though you just ate.

5. Concentrate on eating only. Avoid doing other things when eating otherwise you will get distracted and there is the risk of eating more than you really need. Another reason why you should only concentrate on eating is to avoid developing a habit. For example, you will always eat when reading the newspaper, even if you are not hungry.

6. Only eat in the kitchen. Do not make it a habit of eating everywhere in your house because if you have your meals in more than one place, you will eat more and more often.
