Most of us simply do not have time to go to the gym everyday to work out. Not only is it expensive, it can also be troublesome. Your gym can be far away from where you live and you would either have to take public transportation or drive there, which means you would be paying money for either transportation fee or gas. In addition, most of us have a lot of things to do in life. This is especially true for students because not only do they have classes to attend, they would still have to do homework when they get home. To put it differently, you are wasting money and time by going to the gym to work out. Isn't it more convenient and fun to work out at home instead?
Working out at home is just as effective and the best thing about working out at home is that you can do it at anytime you want! In addition, you can take your shirt off while working out at home, which is something that you cannot do in gyms because it can cause embarrassment and awkwardness.
To get a good workout at home, you would need some equipment. I would recommend you to buy a pair of dumbbells, a chin-up bar, and a sledgehammer. With dumbbells, you can do many different exercises to target almost all the muscles on your body. My two favorite dumbbell exercises are bicep curl and shoulder press. Bicep Curl is one of the best exercises for the biceps and shoulder press can get you those big shoulder muscles. Speaking of shoulder muscles, chin-up is also a great exercise for them. In fact, chin-ups is considered by many to be the perfect upper body exercise because this exercise works out your back muscles, shoulder muscles, arm muscles, and also abdominal muscles.
With a sledgehammer, you can make your workout fun. Instead of doing traditional workouts with weights, you are going to obtain muscles by using a sledgehammer. Have you seen one of those men that chop down trees in the forest? They are all muscular. All you have to do is stand in the middle of your living room with a sledgehammer in your hands and start doing the chopping movement. You have to remember that you are not hitting anything with the sledgehammer. You are only pretending like there is a tree in front of you and your job is to chop it down as fast as you can. This sledgehammer workout is very good for your upper body muscles, like shoulders, back, and arms.
