Walking and Running Tricks
1. Do both using intervals
Run hard and then walk. This is great for health and even better for weight loss. Run hard for as long as you want or as short as you want. The key is just to run hard. If it's for only 10 seconds... Great. For most people, it's hard to run really hard for longer than that. Just don't jog it. Actually run. Then when you get to your walks, walk as long as it takes for you to be able to run hard. A lot of people can run hard again after 45 seconds of walking.
Do this for a total of 15-20 minutes a day, 4 days a week.
You can also do a mix of both by running up some stairs and then walking back down those stairs. So you run up 1 flight of stairs, then walk back down. Keep repeating for 5-10 minutes. You'll find that this is AWESOME and powerful for fat loss.
2. Straight walking... do it on an incline
If you're just going to do walking, then I advise you to do it on a treadmill. AND... incline that treadmill. Walk 5 times a week for 20 minutes like this. Do this method if you have the time and can fit in going to a gym (unless you have a treadmill at home).
