Best Exercise Routines For Women
By TJ Frye

Typically, the best exercise routines for women target common problem areas that we face, including thighs, abs, and the dreaded butt area. None of us enjoy having saddlebags, muffin tops, or thighs that rub together! One of the biggest mistakes that women make when working out is trying to target these areas only, leaving out cardio. Cardio simply cannot be skipped! You can do tons of crunches, but it won't matter if you leave cardio out, because those great ab muscles that you work so hard on will never see the light of day if you have a layer of fat covering them.

It's important to get at least three or four cardio sessions in per week. It doesn't have to be boring, ladies! There are so, so many choices out there to make it fun. Dancing is cardio. You can't get more fun than that! I personally prefer kickboxing. It's fun, a great stress reliever, and it really helps to get any aggression out, clearing your mind. Now, onto the problem areas. For thighs, lunges and squats just can't be beat. In order to make them even more effective, use weights. Don't worry, they won't bulk you up, we don't have the hormones for that. They will, however, blast your metabolism through the roof and build lean, sexy muscle.

For the butt area, lunges and squats are great for this too. Another awesome butt exercise is using a (very sturdy!) stool. Put one leg on the stool, holding a weight at each side (don't swing the weights, just hold them there!), then, pressing through the heel, not the toes, step onto the top of the stool with your other foot. Do as many sets of these on each leg as possible, and you'll get the sexiest butt you can imagine, since this exercise is great for lifting and shaping your butt.

As for the abs, there's obviously the important crunch, but a very overlooked, important exercise is the reverse crunch. This targets the lower ab area that a lot of us struggle with, eliminating that dreaded muffin top! Bicycle crunches target the entire ab area. They are hard, but they're worth doing, as they'll give your entire abdominal area that sexy, sculpted look. Don't forget to pair these exercises with cardio!
